I’ve just installed my La Fonera FON WiFi router.

The installation was surprisingly simple:
#1: Connect FON-router with power
#2: Connect FON-router with ADSL router
#3: Register the FON-router at wifi.fon.com
#4: Configurate your FON-router at fon.com (set maximum bandwith you want to share [minimum is 512Kb], change name of WiFi-signal, change the WPA-password etc.)
Now I can use the worldwide FON-network. Whereever I find a FON-Hotspot, I log in with my username and password and I’m online for free :-).
There was one downside about the Quick Installation Guide: No single word about security regarding private networks. I just assume it’s secure, but I have no clue about the details. At least one sentence such as “You don’t have to worry about your private networks. No one can access your private data or your shared folders” would be appropriate.
